Clear As A Bell Communication - No Matter What Speed!
I have had a passion for racing throughout my entire life.
Growing up in Florida it was Swamp Buggy races, Formula V racing and going out to the Sunshine Speedway drag strip to watch the original Little Red Wagon pop a wheelie all the way down the quarter mile.
It wasn’t until I went into business for myself that I was actually able to participate in racing: not as a spectator or a racer, but as vendor/sponsor. In 2004 I ran into the Kalitta family at the NHRA Spring Nationals in Baytown and that’s where it all really started…
About three weeks after the race was over they contacted me and asked if I would be interested in a partnership. At that time, the team consisted of Scott and Doug Kalitta in two fuel cars. I thought to myself, “How can this be a bad idea – I get to hang around with a top fuel team.” Little did I know then that it would turn into a four-car team with a need for 30-plus radios!
We had a blast for several years and in that time; NWR has supplied many of the top NHRA teams with radios including champions such as Jeg Coughlin. Additionally, NWR’s past includes involvement with the ADRL as the exclusive radio provider for event operations, while working out of Tim McAmis’ trackside support outfit. We have supplied countless drag racers with radio set-ups and custom ear molds over the years and are involved with many types of racing from Road Course, Lucas Oil Drag Boat Series, Southern Drag Boat Racing, Truck racing, to Tractor pulls.
If you require a race set-up you can depend on, call NWR for the right solution that will give you many years of use. – Don Cameron, Founder NW Radio
“NW Radio has been our only choice when it comes to 2-way radios and have been our official racing radio provider for many years. They provide us with the very best equipment to get vital information to our teams with distance and clarity.” – Team Owner of Kalitta Motorsports and Drag Racing legend, Connie Kalitta.
NW Radio is the official sponsor of two-time Lucas Oil Drag Boat Racing Series world champion, Bryan Sanders—driver of the Hydrochondriac Pro Mod drag boat.
